mason & summers
brief » mason & summers as
a part of the official launch of their 8 yr old single
malt whisky named 'glen drummond' wanted bar collaterals
to be designed which can be distributed to its customers.
the product needed to have heavy branding, that which occupies
less space on table and something new in terms of concept/idea.
design » this was a stainless
steel paper napkin holder. it had a very simple mechanical
principal, viz, a hinge that held two identical pieces
to form an enlarged 'clip'. the angle was worked out in
such a away so that the two parts fell inwards to collapse.
this action helps to keep all the paper napkins in place
in any condition; because of the hinge and its own weight
it holds on to its last piece of napkin! |
